Based in Perthshire in Scotland, traditional folk musician and guitarist Wilson Noble is a graduate from the University of the Highlands and Islands. Wilson graduated with both a Masters in music in 2019, and a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in 2017.
Born in Aberdeen, 1980 and grew up in Fraserburgh in Northeast Scotland. A self-taught guitarist from the age of Fourteen, Wilson has worked in a diverse range of genre’s in his upcoming thirty years of playing. He has independently released four singer-songwriter albums since 2004. His third studio album ‘Warmheart’ was recorded and co-produced by Battlefield Band’s audio engineer Ewan Macgregor at Temple Records Studio in 2012. His fourth studio album ‘HUMAN’ was created as his final project for his Masters music degree and was released via succesful crowdfunder in December 2019.
Wilson performs a variety of solo Celtic Fingerstyle Guitar and popular Folk Song and Ballads from the Scottish and Irish traditions along with some of his own self-penned songs and original Scottish poetry. He has performed at major Scottish music festivals including Celtic Connections, Belladrum Tartan Hart Festival, and Knockengorroch. And has been the supporting act for English multi-instrumentalist Tim Edey and English folk musician John Smith.
Noble self-manages all aspects of his music career, works as a guitar and music tutor, and often works as producer and graphic artist in his own projects. Currently he offers online private guitar tuition from his home studio in Perth, and performs locally.
